Great Stuff, Jerry is a natural acting with Marty in those pirate pants I've been playing C6th dobro for a while and it's really nice to see and hear it done so well. He makes that dobro ring like a bell.

I've been informed by Bill Ferguson who's just posted a 'Legal' video of Jerry Byrd in the "Steel on the Web" section on the SGF, that these are copyright and I'm apparently in breach, even 'though they've been unavailable for many years. So, before I delete them from the server at you tube, a question :-

Was I right or wrong to make this UNAVAILABLE material AVAILABLE again, or not ?

Bearing in mind that even when the artist's permission is obtained, there is still copyright subsisting on the music itself, on most posted videos unless the content is an original composition.

Is he a copyright lawyer or what? A lot of Jerry's music is copyrighted but a lot of his private recordings that he gave to people is not and can be passed around and shared as much as we want. And I enjoy referreing my friends to them and to watching them with friends when the opportunity presents itself. Someone should put the two shows they did together on DVD. I'd buy it. One of the best things I've discovered on any forum.
