The Board of Directors decided it was way past time to start acknowledging members who do so much for our club. Duke Ching is awarded a "Man of Steel" certificate for his consistent efforts promoting HSGA through his public performances. |

Akitomo "Tom" Ikehata, HSGA's Japan Coordinator, won the 1997-98 "Member of the Year" award for the many new members he's tirelessly enrolled in Japan, this past year. The Okadas hold Ikehata-san's blue steel engraved plaque and beautiful gold HSGA T-shirt. |
